(нем. Centrum der Büro-und Informationstechnik
англ. Center for Office and Information Technology) элн свз выставка «ЦеБИТ» (Центр офисных и информационных технологий). ▫ Одна из крупнейших в мире комп. и телекоммуникационных выставок. Проходит каждую весну в г. Ганновере (Германия). 1-я выставка прошла в 1986, когда тематич. часть из крупной выставки достижений нем. и мировой промышленности Hannover Fair её организаторами — Deutsche Messe AG — была выведена в отдельную выставку по теме «Информационные технологии». Произошло это потому, что комп. промышленность к тому времени стала одной из ключевых тем Hannover Fair. В 2009 в CeBIT приняло участие 4400 компаний. В посл. вр. проводит свои отдельные выставки также в Китае, Австралии, Турции, США.
